Black Cohosh Root (Actaea racemosa)

Native to the woodlands of eastern North America, black cohosh is a flowering perennial with a long history of traditional use among Indigenous peoples and later American herbalists. Also known as black snakeroot or bugbane, it is recognized by its dark, twisting rhizome and tall spikes of delicate white flowers.
