Chinese Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza uralensis)

Chinese licorice is an herbaceous legume native to Asia and one of the 50 fundamental herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Used for more than 2,000 years, it is the most frequently included herb in classical Chinese formulas, where it is traditionally valued for harmonizing herbal blends and balancing their actions. Our certified organic licorice root is sliced from cultivated Glycyrrhiza uralensis and can be prepared as a decoction, tincture, or enjoyed by chewing the naturally sweet root.
