Comfrey Leaf (Symphytum spp.)

Comfrey is a perennial herb that thrives in damp, grassy soils and is recognized by its large, hairy leaves and clusters of bell-shaped flowers. Used since Roman times, comfrey has a long history in traditional Western herbalism and European folk medicine, where it has been especially valued in topical preparations. A member of the Boraginaceae family, Symphytum includes more than 30 species, with naturally occurring pyrrolizidine alkaloids varying by species and plant part. Our dried comfrey leaf is intended for external use in infused oils, salves, poultices, and other botanical skincare preparations.
