Comfrey Root (Symphytum officinale)

Comfrey is a perennial herb native to Europe and temperate Asia that has been valued in traditional European herbalism for thousands of years, particularly in topical preparations. A member of the Boraginaceae family, it is recognized by its large, hairy leaves, bell-shaped flowers, and deep black roots. Our dried comfrey root is intended for use in infused oils, salves, poultices, and other botanical skincare formulations.

Caution: Comfrey contains naturally occurring pyrrolizidine alkaloids and is generally recommended for external use only. Internal use is not advised.
