Eleuthero Root
Eleuthero Root
Eleuthero Root (Eleutherococcus senticosus)
Also known as Siberian ginseng, eleuthero has been used for more than 2,000 years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), as well as Korean and Russian herbal traditions. Although related to the ginseng family (Araliaceae), it is distinct from true Panax ginseng and is traditionally valued as an adaptogen that supports vitality, stamina, and resilience. In TCM, eleuthero is used to tonify Qi, nourish the Spleen and Kidney, and support the Heart meridian. Considered energetically warming with a slightly bitter, pungent taste, it has traditionally been prepared as a decoction, tincture, or infused in herbal wines. Our dried eleuthero root is sourced from its native growing regions of China and northeastern Asia and is ideal for teas, tinctures, and custom herbal formulations.
