Our certified organic ceremonial grade matcha is shade-grown in the renowned Kyoto Prefecture of Japan, where matcha has been an integral part of Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries. The word matcha literally means "finely powdered tea," referring to the carefully stone-ground young green tea leaves used to create this vibrant beverage. Rich in tradition, matcha is celebrated for its striking emerald color, smooth texture, and naturally sweet, refined flavor.

This ceremonial-grade matcha offers a refreshing grassy aroma followed by a full-bodied, polished green tea finish. It is available in 3 oz. retail jars and 1 lb. bulk sizes.

Brewing Instructions: Add ½ teaspoon of matcha to 5 ounces of hot water. Whisk vigorously for approximately 45 seconds until frothy. Because matcha is a finely powdered tea rather than a steeped leaf, some powder may naturally settle to the bottom of the cup.
