Organic Elderberry Syrup DIY Kit

Create your own nourishing elderberry syrup at home with our handcrafted Elderberry Syrup Kit. Each kit contains a thoughtfully blended mix of organic elderberries and spices to make approximately 2½ cups of delicious syrup. Simply simmer, strain, and add your favorite honey. A simple seasonal ritual for the whole family.

Ingredients

Organic elderberries, cinnamon, cloves, orange peel, and dried ginger.

Directions

1. Add the entire contents of the kit to 3 cups of water. For additional warmth and flavor, you may add 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger (optional). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by about half.
2. Remove from heat, allow to cool slightly, then strain through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth or a clean cloth.
3. Stir in 1 cup of honey until fully incorporated.
4. Transfer to a clean glass jar or bottle and refrigerate.

Makes approximately 2½ cups of elderberry syrup. Refrigerate after preparation and best used within 3 to 4 months. Do not give honey to children under 24 months of age.
